The Infomatics created two original songs as part of The Raw Sessions with Sony Ericsson eight-part television series. Their first song called “The Long Finger “ was recorded in less than 12 hours in Sun Studios, Temple Bar during programme 3 and their second song “Let Me Fly” was recorded in less than 18 hours in the exclusive Grouse Lodge recording studios in Co Westmeath with the help of producing duo Misk and Arveene.
Dez Ryan, Presenter & Producer of The Raw Sessions with Sony Ericsson said: The Raw Sessions Live final was an amazing night – Dirty Epics, RSAG and The Infomatics were fantastic. People kept asking me who I thought had taken it and I honestly couldn’t say. I knew it was going to be close. It was so difficult to choose between three incredibly talented artists. I couldn’t have picked a winner so I am glad The Raw Sessions viewers made the decision at the end of the day.”
“From the first day on the series, I felt the Infomatics had something really original going on with their music. They are definitely one of the brightest voices in Irish Hip Hop. Lotus Media, Sony Ericsson and everyone who worked on the show are grateful to all eight bands for working with us on season one. We are already looking forward to a possible season two and working with more of the best and brightest musical talent in the country”, Dez Ryan added.
Russell Keating, Marketing Manager, Sony Ericsson Ireland said: “Sony Ericsson is committed to supporting new Irish music and the Raw Sessions has been the perfect way to show our support. The Raw Sessions series has been fantastic showcase for all the artists taking part and we hope the bands involved benefit from the television exposure they have received.”
Eight very talented independent artists took part in the first series of The Raw Sessions with Sony Ericsson including Majella Murphy, Rarely Seen Above Ground (RSAG), Sickboy, Noise Control, Dirty Epics, Hoarsebox, Infomatics and Sweet Jane.
